This report presents the trajectory of the extension project Learning from the Rain, carried out in two consecutive editions with the support of the Espírito Santo Foundation for Research and Innovation (Fapes), in 2022 and 2023. Its main objective was to engage young people from rural areas into meteorological observation, promoting applied learning on precipitation patterns. The experience involved setting up pluviometric stations in agricultural schools, training students as observers, and automating the generation of reports and dissemination of data, which began feeding a website developed for the project. The initiative demonstrates the potential of automation and applied environmental intelligence to enhance rural resilience to climate change, while also strengthening the teaching-learning process, generating positive impacts on family farming.
