In the past few years, it has been possible to verify in Brazil the high rates of deforestation of the Atlantic Rainforest vegetation, which has resulted in the substitution of the forest for other uses related to the dynamics of the land. The use of geotechnologies and Remote Sensing has contributed to the diagnosis and monitoring of land use and land cover in the most diverse Biomes. We have to analyze the dynamics in the landscape through the observation of visible and invisible elements in which the use of satellite images is present. The article aims to analyze the forest cover between the period 2007 to 2020, of the upper course of the Jucu River Basin, using segmentation by regions and unsupervised classification of images with the Isoseg algorithm.
